Mike's Pizza App
My Role: I was the lead UX designer and researcher, wearing all the hats to really understand the full process.
Goal: The design was meant to give customers a beautiful new brand, an option to order online and the ease of tracking their order before pickup.
Research: Unmoderated usability studies were conducted at various stages of the design process.
Users: People who order pizza often and typically lead busier lives that have a need for making the ordering process easier. Most users would be between the ages of 18 and 75.
Early Design
As this was my first time dipping my toe into UX design, there was quite a learning curve in the beginning. I designed paper wireframes for each page of the app and turned those into digital low fidelity prototypes to be tested in the next research phase.
Research and Changes
I conducted an unmoderated usability study with five participants to gather insights on how my designs were working for users. I tried took bias into consideration when writing the questions and script. After analyzing my findings, the insights helped me to change designs to better fit users' needs.
Opportunity for Growth
I learned a lot about using Figma in this first project but there are so many other aspect to explore and perfect. I also learned a lot about accessibility concerns and would like to work to do better to address those concerns before starting the design process.
